<개정 시민권 시험 예상문제> Photo Photo Photo Photo 내년부터 전면 교체되는 시민권 인터뷰 예상문제 100개가 확정됐다. 2008년 10월1일부터 실시되는 새 인터뷰 예상문제는 이들 100개 문제중 10개 문항이 출제되며 이 가운데 6개를 맞춰야 한다. 정답은 예상문제집에 실린 것으로 대답해야 한다. 즉 2번 문제 같은 경우 보기 3개가 모두 정답이다. *영주권을 취득한 지 20년 이상 된 65세 노인일 경우 별(*)표시된 문제만 출제된다. 〈AMERICAN GOVERNMENT> A: Principles of American Democracy 1. Christmas ※시민권 시험 어떻게 바뀌나? 개정된 시민권 시험은 크게 행정시험과 영어시험 두 파트로 나눠진다. 행정시험은 한인들이 흔히 인터뷰로 인식하고 있는 시험 종류다. 100개 예상문제 중 10개 문제를 질문해 6개를 맞추면 통과된다. 행정시험 문제는 미국 정부 시스템과 역사, 지리 등 미국생활과 관련된 상식으로 출제됐다. 영어시험의 경우 ▷구두시험(Oral Test) ▷읽기시험(Reading) ▷쓰기시험(Writing) 등 3개 부문으로 나눠진다. 구두시험은 기존 시험과 비슷한 방식으로 시험관이 신청자의 이름 등 간단한 신상정보를 질문하며 영어구사 능력을 확인하게 된다. 읽기시험은 시험관이 보여주는 문장을 영어로 읽어야 한다. 쓰기시험은 시험관이 말하는 문장을 받아써야 한다. 신청자는 읽기시험과 쓰기시험에서 각각 3번의 기회를 갖는다. 3번 모두 실패하면 행정시험에 통과했어도 시민권 시험에는 불합격된다. 불합격자는 한번 더 재시험을 볼 수 있는 기회가 있으나 재시험에서도 탈락하면 시민권을 재신청해야 한다. ※언제부터 적용되나? 신규 시민권 시험 방식은 2008년 10월1일 이후 접수한 신청자에게 해당된다. 2008년 10월1일 이전에 접수했지만 인터뷰 날짜는 10월1일 이후로 잡힌 신청자는 기존의 시민권 시험이나 개정 시민권 시험을 선택해 치를 수 있다. 또 접수 날짜와 상관없이 인터뷰 날짜가 2009년 10월 1일 이후부터는 개정 시민권 인터뷰 시험을 봐야 한다.
